The Most Anticipated Games of 2016

If you’re anything like us, you’re still buzzing from 2016’s E3 weekend. We know a lot of PS4 fans are starting to get excited for the biggest releases of the year, despite the fact that rumours about Sony releasing another console at the event were just that – rumours. We’re going to have to wait awhile for the upgraded, more powerful version of the PS4. Whatever you want to call it (PS4.5, PS4K, PS4 Neo), it was noticeably absent from Sony’s presentation. But that doesn’t mean crowds were disappointed.

Games of 2016

The simple news that an updated console is on the way (possibly on shelves by the end of the year) is enough for fans. Until then, plenty of PS4 players will be wondering how they can keep their current system in top form – just in case the PS4K’s release date is years down the line. PS4’s see their fair share of damage, especially the delicate DualShock 4 controllers. Particularly rough game play is unavoidable when you’re trying to beat a frustratingly challenging campaign, and you don’t help things with your habit of fueling up on greasy chips and pizza while you struggle.

For those controllers that are a little rough around the edges, you should buy a PS4 controller skin online. They consist of thin pieces of stylized vinyl that wrap around the toggles and bumper buttons of your controller, and their impermeable material keeps junk food grease from gumming up its delicate parts. PS4 skins come in a variety of colors and textures. Regardless of what style you choose, its texturized surface also adds considerable grip to the controller, so you’ve got added purchase despite your sweaty palms. You can deck out the console itself in a matching design, keeping the entire system safe from scratches, scuffs, dirt, and even spills.

When you’ve protected your system from the dangers of everyday gaming, you can ensure your console can last until the most highly-anticipated games of 2016 are released – like The Last Guardian. For the last 9 years, people have been waiting for this particular game to find its way into their systems, and finally, according to E3, we can expect to play it sometime this year.  Or perhaps you’re more excited for the futuristic adventure game, Horizon: Zero Dawn. Though it didn’t see its initial debut at E3, expo goers got to see an extended trailer for the game and it looks like it’s going to be an exciting story.

Add to that mythological God of War, Kojima’s Death Stranding, and the sci-fi noir Detroit: Become Human, and 2016 is gearing up to be an excellent year for gamers. Outfit your console and controller in a protective PS4 skin, and you won’t have to wait until the PS4K is released to play them all.
